Partners

Mark Bonner

Mark has been a partner with McQueens Solicitors since its inception in 2010.

 

He read Law and Sociology at University and has clerked and trained predominately in criminal and family law before his admission as a solicitor in 2002.  Mark has practised as a criminal solicitor since admission and represents client predominately in London and the South East.  His practice has required him to represent clients nationwide.

 

Mark has experience of, and has successfully represented, clients involved in a wide range of cases including murder, money laundering, fraud, firearm, robbery, drug and sexual offences. 

 

He has a particular interest and commitment to advocacy in the Magistrates’ courts and attends police stations to represent clients on a regular basis   Mark also conducts trials in the magistrates' court when his caseload allows.  He regularly appears at the Youth Courts and represents young defendants in an extensive range of cases.

 

Mark was born and trained in London.  Clients, from a diverse range of backgrounds, appreciate his ability to effectively communicate with and represent them in the criminal justice system.

 

Mark is a duty solicitor and a member of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association.

Iffat Hussain

Iffat is a highly experienced advocate in the Magistrates Court and Crown Court preparation. Iffat has an abundance of experience in all aspects of criminal law from driving offences to serious conspiracy and drugs offences.
 
She is particularly experienced in managing cases involving vulnerable people, be it youths, learning disabilities and mental health. She has represented people who have sought her assistance due to her reputation of fearless defending in the criminal law field.

International & Cross-Border

Emmanuel studied Law in Nigeria and England. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1992 and did his postgraduate degree in Corporate and Commercial Law at Queens Mary College, London  and a Master of Science in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution at King’s College, London.

 

He was admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in March 1998. He was a Law lecturer and in private practice in Nigeria. In England, he worked for Manchester and Oxford City Councils before going into private practice in 1999. He has been a partner at McQueens Solicitors LLP since July 2010.

 

His areas of practice include Contract/Commercial disputes, Civil Litigation, and alternative dispute. He is also engaged in cross border practice between the UK and Nigeria. He is an expert in Nigerian Law.
